Breeding Birds

Anyone here breed birds, the info i'm looking for is specifically for kakariki's a friend of mine is trying to breed them against my advice, she has no expereince with birds and the breeding pair she has have laid several broods and the female has destroyed all of the eggs! Now they have a brood of 5 chicks. But she hasn't seperated the male and female the male isn't aggressive to the chicks but the parent are mating again and she doesn't know what to do.

Any advice would be appericiated, I have very little experience with birds and most of my training was focused on mammals.
